In addition to what I have said in the earlier post, combo-breaking, something which is smoewhat looked down upon by MANY, especially in the gamefaqs forums for some reason (go read for youselves)...
It's a feature in JUS. Just take a look at DOA4(Dead or Alive 4). It has a counter system that allows a player to stop the combos of the opponent. However, this in turn opens the player to more damage if the player misses. It is somewhat balanced as although the player can counter at any time (opponent can't stop one from countering), is the player misses, he takes more damage (right? I remember hearing/reading that). In JUS, countering is only possible with supports. However, certain supports are not usable in the air, cannot be used if the player does not have any specials or if the player's support usage is sealed. Thus, this system also has its weaknesses. The system in JUS is so that, it is possible to stop the opponent from combo-ing the player. However, it is also possible to stop the opponent from countering you.
As with guard-tapping, combo-breaking is a legal feature. It can be stopped, its not overpowered or such. There is no reason for banning it and the sort, I feel.
