2nd post today! Don't miss the earlier post below

Ahh... Just finished reading the 145 chapter manga, Hanazakari no Kimitachi E (short form: Hana Kimi). This manga is about a girl who follows her idol to his boarding school. The problem? It's an all boys high school... So she tries to blend in and be with her high jump idol. She even ends up in the same room as him, only to find out that he's quit high jumping...

Pretty nice manga to me and the ending's pretty good to me. A good change compared to the 2 lousy anime endings I've seen recently. Give it a read if you've got the time I say.

Animes...

Heiz... Another anime series's just ended. Ef - a tale of memories episode 12, disappointingly the ending wasn't that good either. It wasn't as bad as Myself; Yourself but it's still not that nice. Zzz...

Well, with this week, Central's showing Burst Angel on Weds, Azumanga Daioh on Thurs and D.Grey-Man on Fris.
Having already watched the first 12/13 episodes of Burst Angel online already quite some time ago, I already know what's gonna happen for the moment. It's a nice series I guess and I can't wait for it to progress to where I stopped watching.
Azumanga Daioh, on the other hand, is a series I've wanted to watch but didn't. It's riddiculous (did I spell wrongly? it looks weird...) and funny. The first episode's looking pretty good already...
D.Grey-Man. A currently ongoing anime series in Japan, Central showed 3 episodes a week until last week where it caught up with the Japan airings. Currently, the exorists are travelling to Japan to meet General Cross with the help of an Akuma. Yes, that's right, with the help of an Akuma. Well, I won't spoil it for those who didn't watch it...

New Year's around the corner

Myself; Yourself has just ended. It's ending is really disappointing... Really anti-climatic. Around halfway into the final episode, it was still building up the tension, however, the way that it settled down and finally end the story was too sudden and kinda left the viewer hanging I felt.

I watched Alvin and the Chipmunks a while back. The story was so-so. Predictable. But the songs (it is more of a musical show after all) were pretty good.

Oh yes, anyone up for watching 'I am Legend'?

Recently, I ate an interesting 'doughnut'. I say 'doughnut' because not only was the dough somewhat chewy (somewhat), there was cream inside as well. I ordered the strawberry favoured one. I think the name was 'Strawberry Dream'. Interesting combination, not bad, I'll say.

Christmas is over and the New Year's around the corner. With the New Year come the new school term... And since I might not be posting anything then, Happy New Year in advance everyone!

A type of 'host club'?

Here. But it's not all fun and games like Ouran's host club though. I guess, this one's somewhat darker.

On a side note, I'll be setting up a forum soon for anime, manga discussions and other stuff. Well, instead of saying setting up, all I'm doing is using an old forum not used anymore (thanks Isaac :))

Edit: Aha, labels are all up finally...

You're kidding me...

Though this seems to be old new, but I believe most of you don't know about this. Remember the PacNet Odex case some time ago that got postponed? Well, it seems that it was postponed to 16th November 2007. Yes, you heard correctly, 16th last month. Read here and notice the date of the post. However, there seems to be no news of who won the case (well, at least I haven't seen it). Funny, BayTSP accidentally sent letter to other countries... >_<

So what does this mean? Will Odex start sending out letters again? Will more people be charged for watching fansubs? Are everyone's downloading days in danger again? Or is it over already?

Well, anyway, here're some photos I found from someone's anime convention trip posted here or if you're lazy to find the article and page here.

Pretty cool aren't they? Although I'm not such a big fan of how the story went in School Days, that cover looks pretty cool no? And something from the Negima live action series. Though I'm put off even by the idea of it, the product seems ok.

P.S. I'm putting labels for my posts, but it's really a bore. Expect them soon but not so soon XP

Extra: I know I said later, but I finished reading the manga I was reading before that and now I've nothing better to do. So here's a photo. There're more images at the site so those interested can go take a look. There's other animes there as well, it's all in japanese though.

A new post! Finally!

Ahh... Finally, I've got some free time. In the past week, I (and everyone in my course) was working on an assignment using the Panda3D engine. Man, it really was a pain. In the end, my group handed up only at 8 p.m. on Friday when the deadline was at 6 p.m. T_T

Oh well, now that that's done, I've got some free time for a while since for these 2 weeks, we're having our break. So, for those who're bored, or already are, I'm gonna introduce some animes to watch and manga to read today to make up for not posting for so long. Forgive me if I've talked about these animes before.

Anime
Bamboo Blade
This anime's about Toraji Ishida (nickname: Kojiro), a kendo teacher at Muroe High. His senpai, who is also a kendo club instructor, makes a bet with him, betting a year's supply of free sushi against a trophy. They challenge their respective kendo club's girl teams to see who is the better instructor. Kojiro, whose club has only 2 member left, has to find another 3 girls to form his team.
My take on this anime: interesting with good laughs.

Clannad
Though the story originates from a H-game, story-wise, this is a good anime. It has funny jokes and is touching at times.

Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student who dislikes his life. However, Tomoya finds that his life is about to change when he meets Nagisa. Tomoya's mother Atsuko died when Tomoya was young, leaving his father Naoyuki to raise him. After the accident, Tomoya's father turned to alcohol and gambling, and held frequent fights with his son. One day, Naoyuki, again arguing with his son, slammed Tomoya against the wall, dislocating Tomoya's shoulder. Ever since then, his father has treated Tomoya nicely, but distantly, as if Tomoya and he were strangers rather than a family. This hurts Tomoya more than his previous relationship with his father, and the awkwardness of returning home leads Tomoya constantly to stay out all night. Additionally, the injury disables Tomoya from participating in his basketball club, and pushes him to distance himself from his school and other activities. Thus his delinquent life begins.

Tomoya's psychology is further developed in his dreams of a bleak world. In the first few dreams of that kind, he sees a world which is devoid of all people except for this one girl, whom is never shown but is spoken of. Each time he dreams he finds out more about the world. Later on, Tomoya finds out that the girl has a special ability to fuse junks together to create new things, with which she creates a body for him. Thus he is reborn in this world, and fills time following the girl around. Tomoya conceives that only the two of them are "alive".

To pass time, Tomoya and the girl try to build another doll with more junk they find, but as it has no soul, it fails to come to life. Eventually, winter sets in, and the girl becomes cold to the point where she cannot move any more. Remembering a distant world where he came from, Tomoya convinces the girl to build a ship so that the two can escape the winter and continue a happy life. However, their flight is doomed to meet tragedy

The above summary is from here
My version: the story is about Tomoya, a 3rd year, and his 'interactions' with 5 girls which he meets.

Well, that's it for anime reviews from me for now. The next part, I'll only say what anime is worth watching(to me at least) but I won't give a review.

Ef - A Tale of Memories
Kaiji (this one involves gambling at the early episodes)
Kodomo no Jikan
Rental Magica
Shakugan no Shana II
Shugo Chara (this mainly is a mahou shoujo genre)
Myself; Yourself

Now onto manga recommendations.

Manga
For those who don't know Mahou Sensei Negima, it's worth a read.
My Barbaric Girlfriend (don't be fooled by the title)
Mysterious Girlfriend X
With!

I'm feeling really lazy now so I'm not gonna do any more reviews XD
And that wraps up this post...

Extra:
Oh yea, I forgot this part that I wanted to talk about. Quite a while back already, I changed parts of my blog. Like shifting the hit counter to above the posts, changing the picture at the top of the blog and shifting the music player all the way down to the bottom of the blog.

Also, I included a new song into my playlist, Kokoro no Tamago, from the anime Shugo Chara. It's really, really cute, I can't get enough of it XD

T-T

Man, Clannad episode 9 is really sad. It left me in tears after watching the episode. Seriously, although the ending of the episode was more on the happy side, it's sad at the same time. Really nice, this anime is. I really recommend it :)

On a side note, I might be changing some parts of my blog today or tomorrow. MIGHT.
