Yes! I've finally got to wifi with my NDS. Meaning, I've been 'wifi-ing' JUS these last few days. As with going to work for the first time in one's life, one sees new stuff, interesting stuff, annoying stuff, etc...
People who hack the game (i.e. infinite specials), people who spam supports, even one that used the 3 koma support of the battle character he was using...
Meh, anyway, the purpose of this post's not to complain.
Read.
After reading this article, quoted by someone in the gamefaqs, I started thinking. It makes sense, those stuff (and I mean official stuff, i.e. no hacking) are there, they aren't fan-made (no offence, but SOME are really over-powered), meaning, they're there after serious thinking and stuff. These are legal stuff, why should anyone ban them of anything. True, they're much, MUCH better than most other support out there in terms of uses and such, but why ban them just because of this. Instead of going, hey, don't use this and stuff like that, I feel that one should just get better. Think of other ways of winning, stopping it and such.
Of course, hacking the game and 'creating' new over-powering elements are out of the question. That's really going overboard.
Sena, Seiya, Trunks as well as guard tapping, these feature are IN the game, they weren't added in by cheaters who just want to win. They're official, so why shouldn't people use them? Yes, they get an advantage using these supports / tactics, so, make them unable to do so. As there will always be people who don't want to stick to the 'rules', it's better to be able to 'make' them unable to use such supports / tactics.
For example, to stop the above stated 3 supports, one must move and act in ways to prevent the support from being used on them. Tactics, ideas might be 1. drain the said opponent of all his / her specials, rendering them unable to use the support til they gain more specials, 2. avoid the supports and/or make them unable to use them (i.e. anticipate Senas and block [yes, it is possible to SOMETIMES guess when the opponent is going to use the support] or keep the user from the floor) and 3. support seal them.
Out of these 3 tactics, number 2's the most risky to use, but not impossible. 1's used by Isaac and 3's used by me.
Of coure, players are free to not use them. If one feels they're too over-powered, it's his/her own choice not to use them (I still don't use them).
Wrapping up this port, it is not realistic to ban supports or tactics just because they're much better than the rest. If one argues, then what about supports like 3k Shin (is that really his name?) from Eyeshield21, 3k Nishino from Ichigo100%, that samurai from Kochikame 3k as well and that guy from Saint Seiya whose 3k paralyses?
